About

Hello. I am a piano and music theory teacher based in Strathmore, Melbourne.

In my lessons, I emphasise theoretical understanding and the development of proper technique so students may cultivate an appreciation for the inner workings of a piece and acquire the tools necessary to play at their best. I believe that when students achieve a degree of fluency and feel comfortable with their instrument, they will derive greater enjoyment from playing music.

I aim to uphold a high standard of classical pedagogy inspired by the liberal arts, which seeks to provide a holistic and integrative approach towards education, drawing upon a breadth of subjects to better elucidate the art of music.

If you are interested in my services as a teacher, you can contact me via the form below.

Testimonials

  • "Rob is a fantastic teacher, highly recommended. He has been teaching my kids for the last 5+ years and is extremely patient and skilled with young kids. Lessons are fun, but where necessary, Rob brings in the seriousness required to ensure the kids are learning music to their highest potential."
